Ghost Murals at Penn Central Station
New York, New York

Six large ceramic murals for the newly renovated station in New York City. The imagery for the murals represent, in exact scale and detail, the remnants of the old Penn Station which at one time occupied the streets above. It was an attempt to memorialize the old building and bring back some of the glory of travel in the past. The design for the murals ultimately inspired the architects and design committee to reconsider the station to be more historically derived.
