STEMM Children's Village

STEMM Children's Village is an orphanage and medical/ministry located outside of Arusha, Tanzania, founded by a visionary surgeon fro Sioux City, Iowa. Kampa Studio was brought in to help in the overall master plan (including building locations, agricultural plots, etc.) as well as aid in the design of the separate structures that include children's homes, visitor's center, central chapel and future computer classrooms. Kampa Studio also acts as liaison between the STEMM board and the local architect and builder. Kampa Studio (and family) have traveled to the orphanage to work with the kids, build bat-houses, go-carts, fruit dehydrators, screen doors, re-paint classrooms and furniture as well as help make general repairs. This involvement has been ongoing for the last 5 years, has been incredibly rewarding and will likely continue well into the future.
