Colombo Residence White Bear Lake, Minnesota
A new log home on Manitou Island overlooking White Bear Lake. The client wanted to furnish the home with his collection of early to mid-20th modern/craftsman furniture. The challenge was to design the interiors in such a way as to allow the clean aesthetic of the furnishings to co-exist with the rustic nature of log construction. This was done through material selection, attention to detail and with the craftsmanship provided by the contractor. Elements included douglas-fir cabinetry, bronze and glass rails/hardware, bluestone and hand-pegged fir flooring, and marble floor tiles and countertops. |
